This effort provides comfort bags for foster and homeless children in transition. Comfort bags contain items specifically chosen to be useful and comforting. These bags give a sense of dignity and hope. It is theirs to keep; to own. No more carrying personal belongings in garbage bags.
Each bag is specifically created for the age and gender of the child. They may contain items such as: a pillow with a case, blanket, flashlight, stuffed animal, duffel bag and an essential items bag full of toiletries.
Beginning January 2020, a local senior named Alan is partnering with Youth Empowerment to help launch Luggage of Love as his Senior project.
Please follow the Luggage of Love Facebook page to contribute and keep up to date with his goal of creating 70 comfort bags!
